Temporary Courtyard Installation at the Contemporary Museum of Art, Saint Louis
Green Varnish is a temporary landscape sculpture installed at the Contemporary Art Museum Saint Louis. The sculpture was designed byNomad Studio, a Brooklyn based landscape architecture firm. The Collab worked with the designers and museum staff to realize Nomad’s artistic vision and complete the installation on time. The Collab partnered with Portico Construction to create a curved structure through the assembly of dimensional treated lumber and prefabricated truss components, bearing approximately four tons of soil and plant matter. Green Varnish is on view in the courtyard from May 23 – September 13, 2015. Admission is free and open to the public.
