Ollie Deconstructed

Ollie Deconstructed is a sculpture that was created for ArtEffect, an exhibition and charitable auction to benefit teen art education programs sponsored by St. Louis’s Contemporary Art Museum.  The piece is a three dimensional mapping of an ollie, the most fundamental of skateboard tricks, analyzed  frame by frame in a video sequence.   The skateboard was then cut into eleven pieces that were arranged in relation to each other to trace the motion of the board and it’s path during an ollie.
