Collab was commissioned to design a wall relief sculpture.  The piece was inspired by Isamu Noguchi’s Cloud Ceiling & Waterfall installation in the lobby of 666 Fifth Ave in  New York City that used a series of 2-dimensional shapes to imply a complex three dimensional surface. In Solar Relief, the geometry was extrapolated from a solar positioning map for the exact position of the client’s home in St. Louis County, tracing the path of the sun during the equinox and solstices.
